The Story

A fire-breathing coyote drawn from pre-Hispanic codices — the nahual of transformation and flame — leaps across a bone-white field framed by a deep cochineal border with an ember-orange inner line. Hand-loomed in merino wool with cochineal reds, indigo blues, and pericón accents.

From the Earth

Every colour in this piece begins as a plant, a mineral or an insect, prepared in the workshop before the first thread reaches the loom.

100% Merino Wool
Cochineal
A scale insect raised on nopal cactus, ground and mixed with lime or lemon to move from deep crimson to soft rose.
Indigo
Fermented añil leaves, dipped and oxidised in air until the blue deepens with each bath.
Marigold
Pericón blossoms, boiled to yield warm golds and, over indigo, soft greens.
